Hi guys,
Firstly a great forum, with tons of info. This is my first post on here, so here goes. I recently purchased a eurovox max and managed to set it up fine, picked up 247 channels, although a lot are duplicates. The problem is I can only get a signal to the box if its connected on its own to the incoming cable. If its connected to the splitter (fitted by cable company), i dont get a signal I have cable broadband modem connected to the 2way splitter. I have checked both cables and connections which are fine and it doesn't matter which cable I use, I don't get a signal from 1 of the cables. I can either have eurovox or broadband, not both... Is this a problem with the splitter? If so, where could I get one that will work? Or is this something to do with the cable company reducing the signal strength, so it can't be split. Thanks. |

try this splitter m8
Lincsat's Nick-nacks (Shop) you might aswell try this first for the sake of £4,or think about upgrading your package, i get phone,tv and broadband for £24 a month and have a 4 way splitter with 2 eurovox broadband and legit box. Have a look in the box on the side of your house to make sure they havnt put some sort of filter in to reduce your signal Last edited by lincsat; 11-05-07 at 02:23 PM. |

Splitters, cables etc available in the shop, I've updated the link above.
Just to clarify, are you saying that if you use the splitter, the EV doesn't work regardless of which cable you use or it works with one cable and not the other? Have you tried swapping the outputs on the splitter - can you get a signal reading from the modem connected through the splitter - http://192.168.100.1 |

Thanks for the replies guys.
Just to clarify.... if I connect either the modem or EV to one of the outputs on the splitter, they will work fine. If I then connect both, one will not work. I have tried swapping the outputs and cables, but no joy... I'll try your suggestions this evening and let you know. |

I know this is an old thread but I'm having similar problems.
Certain channels on my max v box are chirpy and blocky. I have a 2 way splitter outside in the grey box with 1 cable to an isolator then to my eurovox and the other cable goes up the wall into my attic where it then goes into another splitter and 1 cable goes into an isolator then to my modem which works fine never hangs or drops connection and the other cable goes into my original V1g1n box which is also fine. My eurovox also works perfectly upstairs when I swap it over with the original box but doesn't downstairs. cable feed---outside splitter1------attic splitter1--------isolator--modem ______________________________attic splitter2--------original box ____________outside splitter2------isolator-------------eurovox

Just to update you all. I tracked down my problem to the original box, when it was installed it never had a forward path equliser fitted I fitted a 4db to the box and everything is now ok eurovox a little blocky here and there but I'm hoping a full system reset and rescan will sort this out.
