Default Bit of help please

Just noticed at me moms house that theres telewest cables going into the living room. Would it be possible to take my eurovox up there and connect it up to see if anything is being sent to the house(as shes not on telewest). Or is there a easy way to see if its sending anything(if not someone told me about just poping down the end of the road and flicking a switch on in the big grey box) <<<is that true. Dose anyone else not even subscribe to virgin and are still able to use there eurovox.

Just hope they forgot to turn it of when the old people moved out
Cheers

just put the wire coming into the house directly into the tv and do scan on ur tv if it is live it will pick up 1,2,3,4,5 and a few other channels - if thats the case the feed is still live - or just do what u mentioned urself and take ur box down there!
