Default Digibox v eurovox widescreen

Which is best regarding widescreen? what exactly is widescreen? 16x9?

anyone had a look at both?

I thought that eurovox was widescreen, but read somewhere that this isnt exactly so.

also, is there any images / software for the digivox?

On another point

anyone using either with a dvd recorder that uses gemstar?

thanks

eurovox isnt true widescreen, digivox is.BUT the digivox is supposed to be a clone of the original starview,so on that basis alone stay clear. Also very limited support for the digi.If true widescreens important to you why not go for a dreambox, there a bit more complicated to set up but are very well supported

Re- Digivox

For a start we will give it its correct name :-)

Digivox is perfect on a 28" and 32" widescreen Tv.

And yes you can get software to upgrade your machine, you can edit your listing using the Starview channel editor as that is the only piece of software that i have found that works fine. The epg is a lot faster and updates a lot better and layout a lot better. So what can one say, Except its a pretty decent box.

Sorry i cannot help you there as i have only tested on 28" and 32" plasma hd lcd Tvs, but I should have thought it would be ok.

I heard that the Dreambox have issues with signals? They are also bit expensive..around £200. notsure if that is with a harddisk installed.

eurovox anyversion, do not do widescreen, avoid if you have a widescreen tv, recommend dbox2 instead
