Wjen i'm watching tv or sky through my surround system, the sound is intermittent going off every 10 seconds(ish) but when i'm watching a dvd throught the same system is perfect can someone please help me it's doing my head in?

could be your audio leads, sounds like they might have a loose connection and sound from sub could be causing movement in wires. the dvd would work fine as it doesnt use the aux function it runs directly from the built in amplifier in the surround system. i would buy a new set of audio leads and try them 1st, you can pick them up in poundland etc.

if its not the leads check out your warranty!
