Default virgin media news server

Hi, I ve been using virgins own news server for downloading NZB's for a while now with no probs, but for some reason it's stopped working altogether, it just says "offfline (connect on demand)" ? I have a couple of other free servers that are working although painfully slow, does anyone have any idea as to what my problem might be?
Thanks in advance

Hi, thanks for replies. I live in the north east Middlesbrough area. I ve not tried downloading through the night or very early morning before as I never needed to as virgin was working great, i was getting 3.5 meg. But like i said for some unknown reason it's stopped working altogether when I've tried using it through the day and early evenings when I usually download stuff. Thing is I don't really download that much, so I can't be getting capped. Tis very strange indeed.

I think I've sussed whats happening it's to do with the newsleecher I was using, it's corrupted and also the 30 day retention that virgin have on files. . So I've tried Sabnzbd programme with the firefox addon and it's working fine and I'm getting 3.8 meg download speed. I'll just have to make sure I only try to download files that are within the virgin 30 day limit.

Hi Kingste, I'm no expert at this as you can tell ,lol. But if you input the following news.virginmedia.com into the host name/add server and you should be ok with that.
Also as Bandit says it does have a sort retention limit, which I think is 30 days, so you need to be off your mark to get what you want.
I've sent you a link in a private message for a website that's good for new release stuff
Good Luck,
