Default Best/Cheapest Box? Unlock Codes?

Hi Chaps,

Not been here in a while, FINALLY moved to a cable area and getting Virgin internet and Cable TV (TiVo) fitted next Wednesday.

About a year ago I got my brother a Eurovox and it worked great, been told these now don't receive all channels so was wondering what the cheapest and best box is? Not too fussed on a PVR or not but easy to use would be good.

Secondly got told I now don't need a box as there is someone local who can supply unlock codes? What's all this about and does it work?

Any info on the above will be appreciated!

Thanks
Simon

The only working cable boxes that I know of are Starview 6/7 and Kryptview A780. Starview are charging a minimal fee, Kryptview is free but at the moment very glitchy and unreliable.
Your Eurovox will never work again I'm afraid.

Take a look at the KV threads and make up your own mind. To be fair it's not perfect, but it's free. well if you pay up your £120 odd .
