I burned my old motherboard (MSI KM4M-V) because of the Emachines issue with power supply so I bought a new one Foxconn K7S741GXMG-6L (see specs below)
FOXCONN Channel Service _ Motherboard I connected with a new power supply: V-Series ATX 400W (see specs below) , with the old Sempron 2800 processor, the memory Samsung PC3200 U -30331 Z 512 MB DDR PC3200 CL3 memory and after 1 sec the powersupply shuts down. I took out the memory so the powersupply and the CPU fun are running but I can't see anything on the monitor. Are these two components (motherboard and DDR memory) really incopatible ?!? The board doesn't support PC3200 memory, but it should clock down to PC2700 speeds. What rating is the PSU? You may need a bigger one

so it should work with the memory I have, right ? what's PSU ? Power Supply Unit ? if yes, I don't think that's the cause because before I had one of 250W and the new one has 400W.... |

Yes it should, and yes PSU is power supply unit. Sounds rather strange, im not completely sure what the problem could be here
