if its a clone then download the clone firmware and then do the following:

extract the firmware

power down the dreambox from the Mains

Hold down the standby button while powering up the dreambox

you should now see the '' STOP'' displayed on the LCD screen.

Release the stand by button and there should be a IP address displayed

type the IP address into the browser

Select '' Firmware Upgrade''

browse for the NFI file and click start

Job done!

you can do it on a wireless network as long as the wireless doesn't cut out while your flashing the box.

You need to find out if it is a clone... how much did you pay for it ?

Thats a clone!

I don't trust wireless so I would advice to do it hardwired just in-case that wireless drops out.

But it is up to you. Which ever method you choose you will be able to connect to that firmware page!

As long as your connected to your LAN (local Area network) you will be able to access the Firmware page!

im used to doing the old cable boxes..with a null cable..this is all new,,so im a novice lol..oh well u gotta learn sum were

Don't use the Null modem with this box because it will take an Hour to flash it.

lol cheers for that..just a bit lost..how i can acsess the firwear page on my pc ..to the box..i dont have a wirless router..and my modem..only got one ethernet slot..could u use a splitter..thanks for all this
