Jet, followed your lead yesterday and put ICS on my I9000, wow what a difference, takes a little longer to fire up, but silky smooth to operate, just having a little trouble connecting it to my pc, but working on it, just have to find the right driver.

Sorted it now:-

1) Download/install Android Terminal Emulator, open it and type: su (to grant superuser permission) then setprop persist.sys.usb.config mass_storage,adb and execute the command
2) and Reboot phone typing reboot
3) If it is still not working grant yourself su rights by typing su - but now type setprop persist.sys.usb.config mtp,adb and reboot

The update for the S GT-19100 is supposed to come out in March so I will wait for that, I have my phone unlocked and rooted but just wait till the official FW comes out. Not sure when the update for the 19000 is coming out but it is going to for sure now, they get too many complaints about not going to do it.

Regards Wez

Damn you. I believe for us, it comes out in April, though I suppose we get a stable, almost Vanilla ROM on the stock firmware (minus root of course)

I did some googling, and it seems that the Galaxy W won't get ICS. However, there may be ways in which you can modify it in order to get ICS installed

I really like the name of "Ice-cream sandwish". Maybe the next generation would be named as "Chocolate Bun". LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
