ive been reading through some other forums trying to gather yet more information about this pin prob people are having with their stb when trying to access the movies.
i dont know how true this is and i probably wouldnt try it myself but some people are having luck with- if you reconnect talk back, pull red jumper reset pin and force update again then leave on 5 mins, test movies disable talk back This is not something ide try myself, but its there for someone to have a go if they want.

I had a M8, bring me a 4000 box the other night, it wasn't getting the PIN screen, it had an unidentified plain white card.
I went into the engineers menu and checked a few things, it wasn't getting a HTTP address and the TFTP server address was incorrect, so I pulled the jumper and started to reconfigure - reset the PIN, setup the TFTP server address as used by the internet. Still no PIN screen on the Movies. I then made up a Funcard with the files off the gmail and tried that - it worked!! Went onto a Movie channel, no red button but after a couple of seconds loading appeared at the bottom right, then the PIN screen appeared, entered the PIN and was watching the Movie ![]() I've no idea if the talkback is cut or not - it does have NTL branded EPG. Worth a try if you have no movies

To get the movies back you need to flash the nvram with a jtag with a know file that has pin working. This can be done on 4000,4010 and 2100. For the 2110c you have to flash the 1024k eeprom with a woking pin files.
