Hi sorry if this sounds daft and you may have already done this but forgot to say have you tried another scart lead just in case this ones has a faulty pin or lead .

Hi ive just checked my settings with ones you have listed so you have two posts to compare and they are exactly the same as yours i think you will find that thats the standard set up for these boxes .

Dudes, thanks for taking the time to check your TV settings. I checked the scart cable and tried a number of scart cables in desperation. I wasnt really expecting a different scart to help since I lost the screen image when I was toggling between the options in the TV settings menu. So I assume it was a settings/box issue rather than a physical cable problem. The really things is that I never saved any changes that I did make, weird. BTW the settings I have listed on my box matched your settings above.
Now this is very strange... last night by mistake I plugged the scart from into the VCR scoket on the back of the EV box and lo and behold I get a perfect picture . Plugged the scart socket back into the TV scart (where it was originally and working fine a few days ago) and I still get strobe effect image. Now what is that all about ????Has anybody come across this before? Now since I have all the channels back I am tempted to leave things as they are. But I guess since the VCR scart is taken I wont be able to connect a dvd/vcr recorder in the future. Now this may seem like a dumb question , but since my TV has two scart sockets, would I be able to connect a recorder to the AV2 scart on my TV and get it to record the output from AV1 ie the cable channels?Another slight problem I have noticed is that I cannot control the EV box volume using the remote control. Whereas I could before. All other funtions on the control work fine. Is this a know issue? Cheers, T |
