where i stay i can only get a virgin tv connection
i have the sockets because i have broadband and an active feed
if i was to buy a box seperately from the internet and connect it, will i be able to pick up the channels?

Hi i think im correct but you need a active card off virgin media paired to the box. They have some good deals on at the moment and no i dont work for them.

Without a subscription, you will only receive 6 or 7 channels.

As Bandit1.3 said, you will need a paired card and a subscription to Virgin Media.

it would work but you might get a box popping up saying insert card etc but its been a while so i may be wrong

Why bother?

Check out the cost of having a box off Virgin. I know when I had broadband and phone only it was only about a quid more to get TV as well.

For a long while it was free and may still be. If you have broadband and phone then just ask for the 'M' pack which is basically just the freeview channels. They will charge you £30 or so installation but after that there's no further charge.

HI phone 150 on your phone select i want to leave tell them sky have offered you a deal for tv phone and broadband packages with free installation ask them what they can do for you i think sky packages is about £20 a month. for all 3 just check on net. Ive just upgraded to a tivo box no installation or activation charges and they move my V+box up stairs all free. But ive been with them a long time.
