Another "how long is a piece of string" question.

You'll need to look at the space you've got to put them in - do you want freestanding or bookshelf? What colour? (SWMBO will have a view!) Correct impedance. Do you also need mounts/stands for the rear ones? What is your budget? Most importantly - YOU have to like the sound they make.

Draw up a list, have a look at what is out there that meets your needs and then come back if you still need help.

Also I recommended you these guys as my mate has them they sound beautiful. He has the same onkyo Amp as you have from what I remember and he bought standing speakers from these guys:

In your other thread I stated that Onkyo do sell speakers on there Own and you should look into it. Once again my other mate has the Onkyo speakers.

Hi

I agree it's very hard to choose I am looking for smallish speakers I don't want them to overwhelm the room.

I don't want to spend a fortune but don't want to buy speaker and then regret buying poor quality when you look around I have not heard of them.

Thanks

Mark

Pop down to your local richer sounds, you can try before you buy. But remember to take your own music cd, mp3 player iPod etc.

if you like HK speakers richer sounds are doing the HKTS9 5.1 set cheapish .

but the world is your oyster , as mentiioned , write a list to discount what you dont want and the less choice you end up with the easier it will be to choose .

good luck .

Speakers is where it's probably best not to buy on price - especially if you've shelled out for an Onyo rather than a Tescos own system.

There are some great reviews on Whathifi - that could be a great place to start for research.

Otherwise you're main questions are really things such as:

- floorstanders or bookshelf speakers
- budget range

and similar to help narrow down a few good options.
