hi, over the past couple of years i have always had a strict nat type for my Ps3. ive tried opening ports using portforward but never been able to get my nat type to open..... until now
i thought i would try to write a guide to help people who have had the same problem as me. firstly you need to have telnet on your computer. i think xp has it built in but i think you need to download it if you have vista or windows 7(i could be wrong) ok now you have to find out your static ip address. if you dont know it you can access it by clicking start/run/cmd/ipconfig take a note of your default gateway. ok now click start/run/telnet................... after the telenet you need to do a space then enter your default gateway eg telnet 192.168.0.5 ok once you have done this press enter then type admin for the name and look on the side of your router for the router password. now you have to copy and paste each of these lines one by one pressing enter after each one. here are the codes :connection unbind application=CONE(UDP) port=69 :connection unbind application=CONE(UDP) port=3074 :connection unbind application=CONE(UDP) port=3478-3479 :connection unbind application=CONE(UDP) port=88 :connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=55-66 :connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=68-499 :connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=501-5059 :connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=5061-7647 :connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=7649-27009 :connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=27012-65353 now write save all, press enter then write exit and press enter. after this reset your router, power up your console and hopefully your NAT type has changed to OPEN . hope all this makes sense as im not the best with computers but it worked for me good luck |
