Hi All,
Before I get to the nitty-gritty, does anyone know if these supplies run properly off-load, or do they need feedback from the main board? Three components have lost their magic smoke and I need to know what they were. Technomate said their manual for the 5000 didn't seem to include at least one of them, so anyone's help would be really appreciated. 5000: Motor A's negative return is connected to a 1k resistor, plus a non-conductive charcoal stick, formerly known as R29. This drove the coupler (IC9) LED's anode. There are also a couple of decoupling caps and what's left of a reverse-biased transient diode (TD1), also to ground. Both R29 and TD1 are located behind the motor connector and point towards it. 6900: This appears to have been attacked by a wannabe John Wayne, armed with a hot poker and a blindfold. Nevertheless, it's worth fixing. The positive bridge diodes were shorted and the thermistor (TH1) had made a valiant attempt to protect the fuse, disintegrating in the process. From the markings on what's left of it, it might well be a DSC 10D-9 (10Ω, 2.2A), which seems reasonable. The 5000 has another fault, but I'd like to have the correct components installed before proceeding. Any useful suggestions would be welcome. TIA, Basil |

Hi , I've also got a 'dead' one , but that component isn't burnt out . it's a 220 ohm 5% . hope that helps. you don't happen to have a circuit diagram do you ? mines got very low volts o/p on all DC lines. either somethings pulling one of DC o/p's down & dragging the rest along with it or the switch mode side isn't oscillating properly . If you've got any clues, or know where to buy a new/second-hand one pleas let me know.

Hi Guys
If you need any components values as I have a working TM5000DAPCI and I can locate and find values of them. By the way you can check voltages off load and you may find they are slightly higher due to off load. It is best to check off load first in case you have a faulty motor. hi doney , thanks for the reply .unlike basil2 , none of my components are burnt out. I can see that it's got 5 voltages supplied by what look like 5 diodes on the other side of a transformer , so I'll lift one end of each of those & see if there's a supply dragging all the others down, but a circuit diagram would be a great help. I think they are probably as rare as rocking horse S#1T !
happy new year to you as well
