do i need to update flashed software

Hi,

I have an xbox which i got chipped / flashed about 3 years ago, i haven't used any back up games for a while, but if i buy one that comes with the Note:
""You will need LT 2.0 Firmware & the Latest Dash Update in order to play this backup", will it work or will i have to update the firmware. I used to update my DBOX myself but I don't know if I can do this with an xbox. Thanks for any help.

The drive will need reverting back to stock, the dashboard will then need updating and then you can flash LT+ 2.0 to the drive. Do you plan on using XBOX Live at all?

I have never actually used xbox live, so i probably won't be using it.

By the way how do I revert the Drive back, do i need any special equipment and
is this something i can do myself easily. I have already opened up the xbox and i am going to take the xbox out.

Of course you can flash the drive yourself, which model is it?

hi, if i remember correctly i think i have a phillips lite-on drive.

i can't find my screw driver set, so although i have taken off the cover i cant open it up,

For that drive, I recommend an Xecuter X360USB Pro (a VIA6421 PCI card will work also), a Probe 3/PMT and a CK3 (not essential but I would advise it).
