Default iPhone 4S not 4g?

Is it true that the tagging the iPhone 4s as 4g is misleading. I've read some articles saying that EDGE, HSDPA, HSUPA and EV-DO are classified as 3G, and that the only reason AT&T markets it as a 4G device is because it exceeds 3G. But exceeding doesn't necessarily mean, meeting.

Thoughts?

OT:
Oh and btw, is there an Iphone app for extracting audio from YouTube videos? Thanks.

The iPhone 4S isn't 4G - Apple made it clear they didn't want to go that route yet because 4G chipsets are still immature power hogs.

You should use your 3G connections securely or it will mislead to somewhere.
