Dreambox DM500 Network Setting HELP Urgently

I have a Dreambox DM500 which the premium channels work through internet connection and without the internet the channels won't work!

When I use it at home and connect the ethernet cable to the box, all of the channels work fine e.g. premium channels Sky Sports etc. However when I use it in other peoples homes and connect their internet to the box via ethernet cable, the premium channels e.g. sky sports won't work and only the free channels work.

Please somebody help me as its urgent.

Go to expert setting, then comunacashion settings, try with dhcp if this dos not work you have to asine static ip that needs to match network setup.. If your using sky Internet get a new provider if you want to cs as they block there keys!!

Sounds like your router is unable to allocate an IP address or you have mac address filtering set on your router.

You need to do as Pete suggested above.

Also try this

Go into the following:- Menu > Setup > Expert Setup > Communication

Untick the DHCP enter the IP as 1.1.1.1.1

Tick DHCP

Save and exit

Reboot receiver

And then come back to the communication settings and check which IP address is allocated.

I have performed expert setting, communication settings and tried with DHCP and it still did not work although it works at my house well with DHCP but not in other houses.

How do you asine static IP that need to match network setup?

you untick DHCP.. And then enter the IP address according your Router IP

i.e if your router IP address ends in 0.1

then your LAN IP would be some thing like 192.168.0.10 etc.

IP: (Dreambox IP goes here)
NetMask:
NameServer:
Gateway: (Router IP)

So which one of the above I need to change in order to solve the problem!

On the same page there is a option which states '' DHCP'' And you need to uncheck that box.

And then enter the IP address manually!

It is the LAN IP that you need to enter manually.

Do I need to enter the IP address as my gateways or just enter it randomly?

right let me make it simple:-

Can you post the details of what is on your screen?

I need the following 3 things on what is says on your box:-

IP (Dream-box) , Net mask and your Default Gateway.

When you have told me the details of that I can help you further.

The three things that are listed in Network settings are:

IP: 192.168.0.1
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1

There is also listed Nameserver which is:
NameServer: 192.168.0.1

all this works in my home, but when I use it in other peoples home e.g. relatives the premium channels won't work when I use their internet connection.

Please could you explain to me in a simple way and illustrate which ones need changing from above.
