Question Hijacked Web Browser

Hi guys.

My web browser has been hijacked by startsear.ch and I can't get rid of it.

I've researched various methods on the net and have tried Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware but that's not worked...

Can someone please advise how I can get rid of this please?

Thanks in advance.

Download AVG Internet Security and run a full scan with that and it should do the job.

Also download and test it out with Spy-bot search and destroy.

If none of the above work then just do a system restore to when it was working previously!

If I had an infection that bad and stubborn to remove, I'd consider saving all my data and doing a full OS reinstall to be sure.

Then again, been a few years ...

Also ensure you have a good anti-virus - personal experience suggests Avast is the most bullet-proof, and it's free.

if you save all of your data theres a strong chance you will back up the virus as well,or you can run a linux virus remover on a live cd
