Hello Great Television Forum Helpers,

The Laptop Forum Helpers have not been able to help. Can you help?

I have a FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO Li 1718 laptop and a TECHNIKA Television. I have listed below what is available to me on the Technika television. Is it possible for me to get pictures and sound on my television from my laptop?

Many thanks in anticipation of your very kind assistance.

Your Laptop doesnt have HDMI output, it has a VGA output, but it appears your TV doesnt have a VGA input, so as it is connection is not possible.. I doubt your Laptop is powerful enough for a "USB to HDMI" adaptor, but another option is a "VGA to HDMI Convertor" but I dont know how good they are or how well they work. There are also "VGA to Component Convertors" but these seem rather expensive..

Well its possible in order to display the output of your laptop on a projector, but getting output on a television using a laptop might not be possible at all. You need to use some sort of a device in between that can modulate the video or audio files in frequencies ranging in either HF, VHF or UHF bands.
