Hi I have just registered and I need some advice.I have just bought a 2006 Eurovox Max receiver on e bay which came in a blue box.I have also received a message from an e bay member saying that these blue boxed receivers are "clones" and will stop working. The item on E bay was a 2007 model in a red box. Will I have problems with this receiver, has anyone had experience of this model.
Thanks |

no m8 the item is not a clone. however if you bid on a 2007 model then you have not got whay you paid for. Before you contact the seller look down at the box from above and note were the rf in connection is, looking through the grill on the box above this is the tuner can and a 2007 model will only measure 8 slots of the grill and a 2006 will measure 8. This will help you if the seller claims it to be a 2007 but posted in a 2006 box. If the box is working fine try to get a bit of cash back off him for the f*ck up.

yes its deffo a 2006 model and its not inferior it just has a different tuner thats all, but as you bought and expected a 2007 unit tell him you want reimbursed by £20 or you will alert ebay.

the box you have is indeed a 2006 max version loaded with 2007 version software...the box is not a clone... i suspect you bought it for around £100 pounds including delivery which is a very good price for a ev max...
dont panic... it will work very well as i know people who have purchased these boxes back in last summer and are still working perfectly well ![]() |

Hiya, as i said above i had this problem also. My box is a 2006 version, it came in the blue cardboard box an everything, but i ordered the 2007 red box version. It isnt loaded with the 2007 software as this has been checked. I wouldnt mind which box it is that we had... Just as long as it worked!! We are getting nothing what so ever out of this one and are now sending it back for a refund.
