Kryptview 780

I am thinking of purchasing a kryptview box. May seem like a daft question, when flashing box does it have to be connected to VM broadband for initial set up, or can I use BT broadband. Seen a post stating to set up via VM then change to another provider. Would be grateful for any advice from all the experts on forums. One last question, I know there is no guarantees, but do you think there is still mileage for the kryptview box, the reason I ask, I bought a starview a couple of years ago and only got a few months use before it went dead

Set it up with any ISP....Answer to your 2nd question is how long is a piece of str.....oh you know what I mean...lol

Starvew are now cack on the go,similiar set up to krptview but you now have to pay a sub....25 pound 6 month or 40 pound for a year......

I personally have a s/v and am quite happy payiny the sub for the service you get.....

But its your choice!!

You need a Virgin Cable TV feed, the Internet can be from any supplier.

Thanks for the reply, I'm confused whether you mean starview is good or bad("Starvew are now cack on the go"), I thought this meant bad however you the say you have a starview and are quite happy with service. Could you clarify and let me know if starview has to be constantly attached to isp like kryptview. I am not bothered which make only looking for good service with little hassle.

cack....lol ...meant to be back....Yes starview needs to be constantly attached (only when watching it).

agree with jimbo get 1 off lincsat i got 1 off him last week highly recommended

They are both working pretty well currently. I do think the Starview has a slightly better PQ and it does handle wide-screen switching better than the KV. They do both need an Internet connection if you are wanting to connect to the server.
