Default wifi wont work,s there settngs n the bios or somthing i can do please help

ok so heres the deal
medion laptop(i know tis is the pc section but not getting much answers from there.

when i trouble shoot computer says the device is workn fine but s turned off. the problem is the functon key has no response when i try to turn on the wfi. the fn key works with all other funtions. so m at a loss as to what it coulds be. computer is a medion 1257 should have windows vsta home premioum on it but i instaled windows 7 not shop bought on it.

there were no problems with it tll now. im thinking of going back to vista and maby wth some stroke of luck it wll enable my modem for me.

as ii said when i try to conect via the wifi it says not able to conect. when i troubleshoot it says wifi device is not turned on so when i try to turn on it dont work can anyone offer any advice to me

Are there any specific drivers you need to download and install from the medion website? Maybe their specific wlan driver contains a hotkey combo map for windows where as the driver Win7 is using doesnt, or maybe theirs a launch manager software for the keyboard layout on your laptop.. I guess Win7 carries a lot of generic drivers for most stuff that gets most things going, but proprietary hardware, like some laptop keyboards may require oem software drivers..
