Default virgin super hub??

hi guys ,have'nt posted for a while but anyway here goes. i had 10meg
broadband but decided to upgrade to 30meg because the kids have their
laptops now. virgin sent me out their superhub but after set up i found the
wireless reception in the bedrooms was very poor. previously on 10 meg using my tp link wireless router it was giving a great reception anywhere in the house. i would like to know can i go back to using my tp link with my new superhub and will it be able to handle the faster speed???

Configure the TP Link router as a wireless repeater and connect it to your Super Hub.

right, this is what i done. i connected my tp-link to my superhub using a cable from the wan socket on the tp-link to port 4 on the superhub. i now find i can choose which to log on to. upstairs will need tp-link and downstairs will use either. a speed test on both read almost the same.

far as i've read the superhub now has a modem only mode so you should be able to switch it to that and then use your wireless router exactly the way you did before
