Default American Satellites

Hi there again
i got my hispasat working !! all i needed was the skew corrected and a new sat finder lol.
i was now wondering (before i move it again) can my 80cm dish pick up the S. American satellites, like 68W etc.

Scroll down to the bottom of the home page to.
' To start beamfinder 'click here.
Follow the promts.
Insert long and lat . dish size.A list of satellites thay you can recieve will be displayed.

checked the footprint...cant get it.
will try the west sats less than 40, to see if theres anything decent

Try 15w and the msmbc feed ... it is the us and not south america though ...... might say service as it's name.


There are a few brazilian channels . Cuba and odd channels that go clear ... not seen one for a while though

68W will practically be on the horizon , so unless your on the west coast you wont see it due to buildings or the lay of the land .

also the futher you angle your dish toward the horizon the more atmosphere you look through and so the weaker the signal gets .

if your not in the footprint you may still see the sat but you may not ick up all transponders .

as always the larger the dish the more sky you can see . improving your lnb or replacing an old lnb may help .
