Advice please on what to do with missing channels on the Kryptview A780

I have several missing (eg FX and ITV + 1) and wanted to monitor how often channels go missing-It's part of the fun of having a box
Is it best to wait till they return or should one always do a Factory Reset and new Scan every week as that is the only way to get them back? And why do channels go missing?Is it true that they least popular ones are more likely to disappear for a few days?

Make sure its set on power search mode in standbye and it will pick up any new channels, if you never leave it in standbye then it wont hurt to do a scan now and again and check if there is a software update also.

hello mic just go into the menu and look for "power search mode" i can't remember what menu part it's in but its around there somewhere and if it asks for a password just put in 0000 unless you have changed it

Missing FX channel (and I really do love this Channel) been missing for
3 days now.

Have done factory reset/rescan and power mode but still nothing
just a case of wait and see I guess.

You need to differentiate between 'missing' channels and channels that dont decrypt. If a channel is entirely missing then that points to a weak signal (your likely missing a full transponder, 3-10 channels).

Weak signals are basically down to your local setup. Either your incoming cable feed or your internal cabling (splitters are notorious for killing signal levels). Also remember that the tuners on 3rd party boxes are not as sensitive as those on VM's subscribed boxes (VM tend to use lower levels in a lot of areas than is the norm on cable networks).

Those channels are not decrypting on mine at the moment, most channels are quite good, the discovery and history pack are not glitching like they were before christmas, just the odd black screen for a minutemaybe once in an hour, the movies and sport are ok.

Aye, sorry should have said decrypt. To the best of my knowledge all
the other channels (at least the ones I watch) are working great.
