Default DVD-RW or DVD+RW

I am about to transfer my old VHS tapes onto DVD and have a batch of DVD-RW discs available. Are these suitable or should I use DVD+RW discs? I've heard there is some sort of issue with the DVD-RW?

Don't use RW disks, I use Verbatim +R disks, but mainly because my DVD recorders prefer the +R format.

I use the same as mickha virbatim +R, i think some older dvd players work better with -R though and some wont play RW very well, if your -RW discs play ok on your setup then they should be fine .
