Default White cards.

I just want to receive the Freeview channels on my sky box.
I have seen white sky viewing cards on fleabay and was wondering if these work?

Just get a freesat card, freeview is terrestrial, freesat is satellite.
What extra channels are you hoping to pick up?
Haven't you got an expired Sky card?

You do not need any card at all to get the free to AIR chanels. There are a few free to VIEW channels that would need an expired Sky card or a Freesat card. Hardly worth the bother I think.

There are only a few ftv channels that you need a card for now as ch5 has went free to air and i think sony tv is the only one(im talking free to air here) you need a white card for unless you live in the ROI or EUROPE and need it to set the epg

One thing if you take the card out of your box then switch off then back on again you get the default region which is bbc london and the english bbc2 itv cha4 and 5.
So wherever you are thats all you have to do(especially roi)to get the uk channels put your own card back in the box and do the same to return to the irish channels.
i am talking sky boxes here skyhd or whatever
