I am told by virgin media engineers that I can add a external hard drive to my tivo box and transfer the recorded programs to it. Has anyone found out how to do this?
I am led to believe it is possible through the rear USB connection. Can anyone help? And a big hello from a newbie!!! |

I would agree it was just sales pitch had it not been after the item had been sold and installed.
The engineer was actually sorting out a signal strength problem, however this morning a notice displayed on the actual tivo box home screen says it only works with esata devices for adding extra storage space. It does mention visiting the virginmedia website for a list of devices which fit this category but I have not managed to find even this list. |
