I must be missing something fundamental but I can't work out what.
My local transmitter has digital channels on 666Mhz (channel 45). When I plug the aerial direct to the tv, perfect picture. When I run it through a 4-way Triax amp, no dgital channels but analogue channels fine. This is the amp Online TV Splitters, Amps & Diplexers sales I can't find anything to indicate why it shouldn't work so it's desperate measures time. |

If Im looking at the right one, it says its powered by Sky digibox RF output.. Do you have your TV aerial connected to the Aerial input on a sky digibox? Have you got the amps input connected to the sky box rf output, and does that sky box have the power output enabled on its rf output...?

Thanks for replying.
Yes, it's connected to a sky box. The amp input is connected to the sky output. Power is enabled on the sky RF out. The power LED on the amp is on. The current sky output (on channel 66) is displaying correctly on the TV, so I'm happy it's not a connectivity problem. All the components are within 3 feet of each other. This was a dry run to ensure all the bits worked before I put any longer cable runs in place. |

Could it be that the digital signal is now too high? The Amp is listed as 6dB gain, try a 6dB attenuator on the TV aerial input (Between aerial and Sky box).

have you try ed the TV with the sky box on stand by
this may sound silly but you are switching the TV from the analog tuner to the digital tuner and not trying to tune them both in on the analog side of the TV Last edited by ABA; 08-02-12 at 01:08 PM. |

OK, I'll try answering all the questions.
lincsat, haven't tried an attenuator but I did try a Triax Diplexer instead (I didn't mention that initially because I was sure the conclusion would be drawn that I had the input out of range) but same issue. I have a channel 36 diplexer and digital input on channel 45 and analogue on the same cable on channel 66. Analogue picture is perfect and no digital. If I omit the diplexer (or the amp) everything is fine. nibblitz, I'm about 20 miles away. I have verified that it is the "approved" transmitter for my area and it is serving consumers significantly further away. ABA, yes, I'm receiving both analogue and digital signals. My digital channels are multiplexed onto channel 45. Thanks to all for trying to assist. |

do you only receive digital chanels on chanel 45 not the other 5 muxes what transmitter are you running of
i take it the amp is running of out put no 2 not no 1 if you take a lead from out put no 1 from the sky box straight to a tv so its aerial in to sky box with dish conected lead from out put no 1 straight to a tv do you get the digital chanels for free view then ? |
