Default Double speed from Virgin 4 free was a lie!!

So all us lucky customers that were told a few weeks ago by Mr Branson & his side kick Bolt that the majority of Virgin customer would get double thier speed all free of charge.

Now that sounds like a good thing something for all the loyalty and for FREE.

looks like alot of us were fooled just got an email informing me that the bill is being increased by £3.50 a month then goes on to say look what we are giving you against our biggest competitor SKY almost to justify the rise!!!

Now don't get me wrong the internet service is excellent and there has only been a couple of times it has gone down in the 6 years i've been with them but i didn't ask for twice the speed I was fine with 10mb if i needed or wanted more then i would upgrade.

What do you think?

I dont like the fact they have put an increase on paper bills as well , and if you pay by ebill they still charge you £5 per month more than by direct debit, they can stuff direct debits.
It was obvious they were going to put the price up and will do it again once they have increased speeds.

Bloody hell. I'm so glad I'm with sky.

HD TV (no sport or movies), Unlimited broadband (8mb) and phone for £52 per month (including phone bill)

Never liked Virgin always found it to be second rate and they need to look up the meaning of Customer service!

I am with virgin, the only problem I can see is that if Virgin say your getting 10 meg, thats what you get (or I do), Sky told me upto 20 meg, but when I went to sign up, they tested my line/Area, and told me I would get tops of 4 meg, and they now have to tell new customs exactly what they are going to get. So its depends on if the individual is going to accept different speeds/benifits that they can both offer over each other.
