the ASUS Striker Extreme mobo supports up to 1333mhz memory
the Q6600 specs say it only has a 1066mhz FSB would I get any benefits by getting the 1333 mhz memory or would it be limited to 1066 by the processor? what if i OC the processor, can I use faster memory and get benifits? |

The Quad Core 6600 will work fast without Overclocking on the ASUS Striker, but i would suggest a good brand of Ram like - Corsair 2GB DDR2 Dominator in a matched pair, but as Quad processing has to be written to programs there are not a huge amount of programs out yet to run with Quad tech and right now the Q 6600 is way over priced you will get very good performance by installing a Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe at a much better price, more money to spend on a high end graphics card.
