Humax disconnects live TV for no reason

I have a Sony KDL40ex403 HD tv and a Humax HDR-Fox t3 PVR. Every now and then whilst watching live broadcast on the Sony with Humax on standby, the Sony TV suddenly go's blank and I appear to be switched back to the Humax but no picture or sound. Pressing a channel button on the Sony corrects this. What is so puzzeling is why does this happen and most remarkable is that it ALWAYS HAPPENS AT A QUARTER TO THE HOUR. Over the last week or so I have logged the times of this unwanted switch over at 8.45pm, 7.45pm, 8.45pm, 6.45pm, 7.45 amd 8.45pm So what is going on here?
