Job seekers getting asked for Facebook passwords

SEATTLE - When Justin Bassett interviewed for a new job, he expected the usual questions about experience and references. So he was astonished when the interviewer asked for something else: his Facebook username and password.

Bassett, a New York City statistician, had just finished answering a few character questions when the interviewer turned to her computer to search for his Facebook page. But she couldn't see his private profile. She turned back and asked him to hand over his login information. [more]

That's plain invasive - if the FB profile is set to private, it's private, full stop.

How could a company so stupidly like those ask for such details, it is just disgraceful. It is a good job that Facebook have the options of individuals placing their Facebook's as private, otherwise I'm sure you will find other stupid companies like this asking the same thing.

Yes well thats all FACEBOOK is about: COLLECTING AS MUCH INFO ON AS MANY PPL AS THEY CAN!! (They are said to be a CIA front and with the way they are,i would have to agree (Them and google))
