Question Magazine Spam

I am being spammed with notices of the magazines availability. I've never asked for these, and I do not want them.

I notice there is no unsubscribe link on the email, so how do I stop them?

Spammed?? You signed up for the forum, and then complain that you're receiving notices from the site you signed up to?

I'm sorry, calling that spam is just stupid.

If you don't ever want to receive email notices, you can change your email address in your user control panel to something you cannot use, thus disabling your account. Pretty much as you could do on any forum.

Brian, you fail to appreciate that spam is in the eye of the beholder. Your ad-hominem attacks do nothing to hide the fact that the techwatch magazine emails are perceived as spam.

It's disappointing that you choose to insult people who point this out to you, instead of recognising that you're actually damaging your brand by sending unsolicited emails. I'm blacklisting this domain as a source of spam and deleting my account.

I'm sorry, but I think anyone who signs up to this site and then complains that it is a source of spam because it's sent out, like, 3 emails in about 8 years, is talking total crap.

Please, if you don't ever want to receive emails from this website, feel free to remove yourself from it. You don't contribute to it, have no interest in the site in general, and then expect me to worry about how you feel? Please, I'm happy to see you go.

If anyone has any *constructive* criticisms I am very willing to hear them - I am normally a very diplomatic person who tries to keep everyone as happy as I can.

However, I don't take kindly to wild hysterical accusations from people who should be grown up enough to know better.

Presumably, going into user cp and unchecking receive emails from admin, would stop one receiving said emails.

I'll either delete it or read it, if it piques my curiosity. One a month, no biggie for me.

Brian, well said, there are plenty of satellite parasites out there, wanting stuff for free but contribute f' all after they get what they want and in most cases don't have the courtesy to say thanks, but just f' off, then have the balls to complain later on.
