chipping a ntl box

hi, okay ive read through this forum quite a while now... still completly confused.. ive got a pace 1000, and im new to all this.. so could someone please explain 'JTagging' and tell me how to do it pleasee..or refer to a post.. thanks alot..

pace 1000 cant be jtag, u can use led simm but no need for that as the bk will be in the database,

no the 4001 led simm, pace 4000/4010 and sammy 2100c can be jtagged.

I have pace box(Not sure which model) which was chip*ed in the past so I know the talkback IS cut. Before I can use this box again I plan on programming a fun card,in order to do this I need my ird number & boxkey.

I opened my box & what I believe to be my ird number was printed inside,the number starts 12 & is eight digits long & was beside the scart socket.

How do I get my boxkey? the guide I read says something about a BK-DATABASE, I cant find this database anywhere.

Also is there anymore guides out there on how to cut the talkback on a pace di4001n? As far as I know I need to disassemble the tuner?

hi mate , one model i was lookin the boxkey to is a Pace-Di4001N.

Im also looking the boxkey to another but im not sure what the other model is , its a Pace box & on front it only has one slot , on the back it has :
Vcr scart
tv scart
tv antena
ir blaster out
ir blaster in
rs232 dce
cable input

My boxkeys arnt in the database so its looks like i have to jtag or use a unlooper. This would involve soldering?

I was just actually doing this for a bit of fun as i already had the boxs & cards laying about so i dont want to end up spending to much

4001 use a led simm, the other box look underneath for model no.

yea mate i just found a few posts saying i need a ledsim , iv just been reading up on it over the last hour ,to much reading today,lol.....

right im going to go ahead & get the led-sim for my 4001. Iv got the led-sim tuturial & ledboxkey-extractor.

But before i get anything i need to get the talkback cut on the Pace-Di4001N. I just cant figured this out. You know of any threads about cutting talkback on this model(I found some but of no use)?
