That is simply a stop-cap, or end-cap.

It can help to prevent signal leak, and in turn would save you calling them out again when you "move the box" and experience signal issues (such as picture breakup etc)

I no way will this aid VM in detecting the setup you use, if they can indeed see such boxes at all (still doubtful in my mind, how can you speak to and therefore see that which is silenced and therefore invisible?)

hello i am new to this whole chipping and programming ntl boxes , what i am new to is i want to learn how to chip it or program it myself because recently i turned it on and all the channels have all gone so i would be very grateful if so one would be able to tell me how to chip it or program it again so i have all the channels again . ?????
