Default Sky HD box

Please help, she's doing my bl00dy head in...

My missus has a Sky HD box (one-off payment). Its an Amstrad box, DRX595.
She has her TV in the lounge connected to it, via HDMI.
She wants a TV in the kitchen next door, running off the same Sky HD box, with the same picture. Can anyone tell me what is required.

The terminals at the rear of the Sky box are

Power cable / SCART / Single Dish (Coaxial) input / HDMI / Ethernet / USB / Tel line / IO port / Dig.Audio

Can I just use an HDMI splitter and a long HDMI cable?

Thanks, Andy

HDMI splitter and a long HDMI cable will get the full HD quality to the kitchen telly, its also the cheapest option if its HD you need on the kitchen TV..

2 Way HDMI Switch Splitter Box 1x2 Port 1080p Full HD: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Routing the thick HDMI cable from one room to another can be challenging, its not as flexible as coax and any holes you have to drill are the size of the HDMI plug. You wont have remote control of the sky box from the kitchen TV either..

Wireless HDMI video senders are getting cheaper now, and they also provide remote control of the box from the other TV..

Alternatively, if HD quality isnt important on the kitchen TV, how about a cheaper Wireless Video sender that you connect to the scart output of the sky box, about 30 for a 2.4ghz model, or about 50 quid for a 5.8ghz model that suffers less from interference...
