Default HDMI switcher confusion.?

Just confuses regarding my switcher.

As I just shifted to a new home, I trying to figured out how and how.

I've a Home Theatre 42 inch LG tv, LG Soundbar, Xbox 360 and lastly Apple tv.
I recently bought myself a HDMI switcher cost SGD $250. It's work fine.
My Output 1 is the TV.
Input 1 is the soundbar.
Input 2 is the Apple Tv.
Now here's the problem.
I try to use HDMI input to the Xbox. When I switch it on, the sound only came the TV. Not from the soundbar. How to resolve the sound?

Secondly, if I want to watch DVD, the tv and the soundbar will have sound. But apple tv sounds come from the tv. Not the soundbar.

It's like the TV and Soundbar works well together. But Xbox & Apple Tv -> TV & Soundbar doesn't work together.

The reason why I using HDMI is to reduce wiring such as the red, yellow & white.
Is there's any guidelines or solutions for me?

Gladly appreciate it
