Default New PC build, advice needed!!

I decided to finally build a decent rig, but find the ammount of new hardware overwhelming!! The PC needs to be able to play recent games at 1080p but need to keep costs down!. I have the case (CMaster rc310) and burner already. I hope a few could share opinions on hardware choices and any alternative suggestions would be welcome!! Here it goes..

Processor - FX4170 or 6100 or 8120?

Board - Asus M5a99x Evo or Sabertooth 990FX

Memory - 8gb enough? Brands to look for? (Corsair vengeance seems good vale @ £40)

Hard Drive - Im definately going SSD, looking at the OCZ Agility 3, either 1 x 240 (£135) or 2 x 120gb (£70ea) but is a raid worthwhile with ssd's? Is that too greedy?!?

Thanks and any help is much appreciated.

proccesor wise i would go down the intel quad core route i7.
motherboard route would be asus rampage2 or 3 or gigabyte.
memory route corsair 4gb on a 32bit os 12gb on a 64bit os
ssd route would avoid ocz (had 2 clap out on me)
graphics card route nvidia 5600gt upwards
power supply route ocz or corsair or thermaltake 700watts or above
blueray burner route pioneer
imo that is

If you have the budget, I would get an Amd Fx processor with and a geforce 880 video. Also asus boards I very high quality. For ram I would get 16gb corsair. At a 1tb drive with the ssd and the disk drives of your liking and you will have one great Pc. Also make sure you have a large enough power supply.

As for Intel I would avoid it. The amd route you get more for your money.

@mrbatfunk, have to decided that i which price or budget you want all of that you mentioned? I think you should buy laptop or new computer in its original casing..
