hi all, im after a bit of help, ive posted this on othersites with no joy, i have a sammy box that has suddenly died, i have tried unsoldering the battery & resoldering it but still no joy, i know that if it was a pace box i could pull off the red jumper, but alas there is no red jumper on the sammy box, any ideas.
btw top site, a lot freindlier than a lot of others ive been on.

is the display just 0 with no pic at all or are you able to get the vm epg when you press guide?

just tried it, i can access the epg, but with no info on it(if that makes any sense) the code m043 comes up on the screen

right so youve definatly took complete power from the stb? it does an update when u put batt back on?

try again mate i had that and it was because it didnt update proper it just stayed on 0 but i didnt get a picture, right i need to get some work done... lol

sorry,on days till monday, will have a go at it then(when i can spend a few hours on it). will let you know the outcome, ps thanks for the info though

this box is toast, i have had the battery un soldered for about 3 hrs, resoldered it, tried it in, and no differencecomes up with the same m043 fault code & will not change channel. im going to launch it the skip at work tonight i think
