I have had 2 dvb s2 pci cards connected to 1 motorised dish for several years now. 1 card was connected directly throught to a quad inverto black ultra lnb, and the other was connected through the motor. Recently the rain caused a short which blew the cards, the motor and the lnb.
![]() After replacing everything I have a problem. The motor is moving the dish but is not getting a signal. I have signals if I connect directly through to the lnb, bypassing the motor. The only difference between this setup and the previous is that I bought a cheap sky quad lnb. Is it possible that this is not good enough? Thanks for any advice. You've confirmed that the cable between the motor and the LNB is good? If it is then it sounds like an open circuit inside the motor. If the replacement LNB is designed for a Sky dish it won't iluminate the dish correctly unless it's the same shape as a Sky dish, most motorised dishes aren't.
