I have a brand new (just got today) Infinity USB unlimited and i can't get it to program the cards i have. I have funcard4 (brand new) and an atmega 163, it always gets stuck on the "write loader" or "erase CPU" part of the process. It also hasn't managed to detect any of the cards i have entered into it too.
I am using XP professional with sp2, i have tried using every USB port my computer has. I have the latest software for it, version 2.65, even tried 2.63 still no use. Tried changing USB cable - no good Tried to setup on different computer - same problem Same problem with funcard and ATmega163 Has anyone else had these probs Got to the stage now I can't see being anything but a faulty programmer. |

Have you followed the USB Infinity tutorial which i have marked as "sticky" it shows how to set the programmer, are you putting the card in the right way, the sim bit needs to be pointing downwards and goes in first, also you need to select settings as mentioned in the tutorial, if you still have any problems, i think it would your programmer it might be faulty.

Thanks for the responses,
I've tried: 3 different computers, 2 with XP home, one with XP Pro Reloaded the drivers Changed the usb cable Tried different cards, funcard4 & Atmega163 & orig N*L card Tried latest software & 4 previous versions, which also changed the firmware Using auto detect and manual selection of card type It doesn't detect the CPU for any of the cards When erasing hangs at erase When reading hangs at read (what ever file I'm reading) When writing hangs at write (what ever file I'm writing) WB Electronics forum shows a couple of posts with the same and they advised a replacement Unit will be in the post today and will get replacement tomorrow |
