Question monoblock

Just in case my last message did not work.
I've re-installed my monoblock as my motor packed up. But now unable to recieve Astra 2 or hotbird while recieving Freesat. Plus when I tune to Astra 2 I cannot recieve Freesat. does this mean my monoblock is no goods? Can Anyone help. Chas

Confused! Astra 2 is at 28.2 East and Hotbird at 13 East, there is not a monoblock that will do both, are you getting confused with Astra 1?

i think you are contradicting your self here as one minute you are getting freesat then you are not getting freesat
freesat is on 28 east Astra 2
a monoblok lnb has a 6 dg spread
so if you are receiving freesat there is no satellite 6 dg ether side
you can get astra 1 at 19 dg and hotbird at 13 dg

Question Re: monoblock

Perhaps I.ve not made my self clear. I purchased my monoblock from Maplin about two years ago and I use to get Freesat on 28.2, 19.2 and hotbird on 13 without any problems. Then decided to install a motororised dish with no results. Now trying to install my monoblog as I had it before it does not work. ihope I.ve explained clearly. charles.

A Monoblock LNB consists of two LNB's joined together, they come with various spacings, including 6 degrees. Hence a Monoblock LNB alone will not do as you've described, get Astra 2, 28.2E, Astra 1, 19.2E, and Hotbird, 13E, so there has to be more to your set up or you're manually moving the dish, to get one part of the Monoblock to get 28.2E, then moving it back to align for 19.2E and 13E.Can you please provide more details, regarding your satellite set up, and if possible post a pcture.
Below is a picture of a 6 degree monoblock LNB:

Not to contradict anyone here as all advice is sound, but there are adjustable Monoblocks available that will spread between 4° and 12°

Code:
http://www.wsidigital.com/ESX-LINEAR-LNB-LNBF/Ku-Band-LNBF/ESX521U-AM-Adjustable-4-12-degree-Monoblock-Ku-Universal-LNBF.htm
But the above would need a diseqc switch

But even this would leave you short as at full stretch your looking at 16° east and 28.2° east
