Default New project

Hi all, i have just started a new project. I am currently having replastering done throughout my house so i though why not lay HDMI and Ethernet cables in while the walls are exposed.

Anyway i have be looking all over ebay and google for a 5 way hdmi splitter (the cheapest i could find was over £400).
I have 4 source devices (so i will need 4 splitters) and 5 TV's throughout the house, so i want each source going into their own splitter and then a 4:1 switch connected to each TV.
Does anyone know of a place that can seel the 5 way splitter for under £20, old fashioned scart ones are only £2 on amazon so i certainly dont wanna be paying over £400 for HD ones.

If anyone can think of a better way of doing it,any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers Rob

What you're wanting to achieve will be expensive, theres no getting away from it.. You're going to need an HDMI Matrix.. A cheapo starter matrix with "4 input 2 output" can be had for as little as 35 quid..

But when you start wanting a Matrix with more inputs and outputs then the price of them rockets up. I guess its because there's not a massive domestic demand for them (yet) so only the likes of commercial premises are buying them, so higher manufacturing costs due to small numbers, and a higher product markup because commercial users will pay it..
