hi i have just installed my first motorised dish and i am getting most of the satellite's but i am not getting 26 E when i try to tune 26E in i am only getting uk channels . am getting 28E 0.8W 4.0 E and a few more

Can you please post more information, including dish size and general location.
26E can require a big dish, 1.1M, to pick up the channels, check the lyngsat link below: Code:

If you're blind scanning I would guess your dish is pulling in some stuff from 28.2e.. Try just scanning the transpoders for 26e... See what signal strength your box shows for a paticular frequency for 26e... But as Micha said, you'll probably need a bigger dish for 26e...

my signal level is about 80% on 26e but when i scan i get all the channels for 28.2e and when i scan 28.2e i get all the uk channels.
how big of a dish would i need to get 26e

Check with dishpointer.com, to see you have the correct latitude, & longitude, you need to enter your postcode, then zoom in on the map, and move the marker to where you have your dish located.
You can alter your longitude slightly, to compensate for any dish alignment problems. |
