Hi Everyone,
I'm new to digital receivers and only have a small amount of knowlege based on some of the items I found on ebay! From what i can gather there are 2 main boxes; Eurovox and Starview! I also know there are several different versions of each, i.e "The Box" and Eurovox 2007 etc... Can some one please advise me on which one i should choose and give advantages and disadvantages of each. The features i am looking for are: 1. Updates automatically (as i couldn't be bothered putting in codes) 2. Decent software (Nice User interface and menus) 3. EPG working 4. Extras like autodetect, teletext etc.. would be nice! If anyone has had both of these boxes please tell me your experience. Also please tell me if there is an alternative i haven't heard of. Thanks so much. I'm on N*L in Galway if that helps! |

Hi Mate
Been using Eurovox for quite some time now.. Never had a problem with it,.. It auto updates itself which is a bonus.. The EPG feature is quite goos aswell.. Ive also installed it for a few friends and is quite simple to setup aswell... Hope this helps... |

Have to agree. I got 2 gen Starviews and a digivox but they can all go so I can get a Eurovox or maybe Dreambox. Starview days are over.

I'm in Ireland also (Dublin) and would recommend a Eurovox. N*L have changed codes a few times in the last few weeks and the automatic update works great, you just get a message saying updating code, then your back on, no hassle.

the starview 3 the box super in my opinion wipes the floor with eurovox max v as they did,nt go down like the eurovoxs have with the auto key roll feature... also the eurovox has big problems like not powering up and just packing up as they keep blowing the capacitor on the motherboard.
