star view digital box

Hi all,
I recently purchased a Starview box(Nov 06 version) & tried entering the 1570 code that seems to work for just about everybody else's but my own, does anybody have any further info on these boxes. I purchased it off a company on the web that just will not answer any emails sent to them. Any info is gratfully apperciated.

hi m8 u dont say what firmware install if its 258 then u hve to flash to 300ee
that will give u access to ur code hope this helps

Thks Azi for that, yes it is the 258 firmware, new to the whole digital box thing, but what is Flash to 300ee ?? Thanks again

hi m8 i am giong to pste small but very usefull tutorial 4 u its very easy any one can di it here it is

• Plug the RS232 lead into the back of the box and to your PC.

Plug the box into the mains and turn it on. It should display ON, on the display

• Double click the GT ROM which is the loading software

Now click the bin file button

• Double click the starview software file (the api/software file you downloaded)

Now click download (this will take a few minutes)
After you have uploaded the software from your pc,

• Plug the box in to the TV using the usual scart lead.

• Turn on the box, press menu and go to installation,

• Select correct provider i.e. NTL, C/W

• Then automatic scan

• Once the channels are found, exit back to the main menu

• Go to parental control and press the info button then tap in 2004

• Go down to emu and turn it on and make sure the nagravision is set to the correct provider.

• Now exit and wait for it to store all the data.

• That’s it, have fun

i had starview boxes 6 of them they were made in korea. i have flashed them with 300. after 6 days all of them are dead they even dont turn on. Is there any fix for this. Any help will be appriciated.

hi javad i read in another forum that 300ee it works on both boxes is well
i had one same as ur with 257 it was playing up long b4 then it died on me
since u have 6 of them u can jtag them to revive these boxes

which kind of jtag is used to and which ones are the software any tutorial for this. thanks for answer. any forum to get this help from. cheers

i have downloaded the stuff. but it still doesnt tel you which software and which file and where to jtag on the box. there is a jtag tutorial. how to build one but i can just buy one from ebay. all i want to know is where to jtag and what to do box didnt even turns on so what i am suppose to do can you send those file or tutorial to me please. or any place where i can download it from the website included in the download you mention is not registering any of my e mail addresses. i never register on that website befor but its keep saying that my e mail address is been banned by adminstrator thanks.
