Default Pin fix for 4010 box

Ok so this will be my first of many stupid posts so please except my apologies in advance.

Just read the Sammy 2100c pin fix tut over & over and it makes perfect sense.... do I use the same route to fix a 4010 or am I missing something, I intend to have a mess with both boxes tomorrow starting with the 2100.

On a separate note I have been reading about a possible fix for the 4001 that looks an absolute nighmare utilising ribbon cables and two chips running in parallel. I'll think twice before attempting that mod for sure!!!

Thanks in advance folks

well mate you know more than me if theres a fix for the 4001 i havent yet heard of one until u just mensioned. as for the 4010 mate you do everything exactly the same but instead of using the nonet.mac use the 4000.mac which is also available for download from gmail.

Perfect timing as I'm just about to start on the 4010 as I type...fingers crossed. If all goes well it's onto the Sammy.
I am keeping a close eye on the 4001 developments so rest assured as soon as I know some more it will be posted here that's for sure mate.

You can also use the nonet.mac as well after all the process finishes leave your box to update for 10 15 minutes. then you can try the Pin 1111. this is the default pin set in nonet.mac. Chears it works for me. thanks.

The nonet.mac worked perfect on the sammy and set the pin to 1111 as stated but the 4000.mac on the 4010 was a little more troublesome. It loaded fine but I had a problem with the PIN afterwards which was erased by the mac file. I had to then go into the EM and set the PIN but for some unknown reason it later locked up on me...d'oh.
I had to reset the box by pulling the red toggle. I then reset the PIN to 1111 before having to reflash the card with the 4000.mac.

I didn't make the mistake second time around, so with the newly flashed box I started it up in the EM and set the PIN before allowing it to finally boot up for the last time.

Sorted.......so my next quest is to sort the 4001, watch this space!

Pull the red jumper mate, you might need to reflash the card and add the mac.
