Sorry for the title, I mean the 2100c
While searching other discussion sites to sort the PIN fix on my Sammy I came accross a nice little fix to turn off that annoying green flashing LED on the front display panel. Incidentally, the LED flashes to signify the talk back is not connected. To turn this LED off simply remove the box lid, remove the two screws that hold the front panel in place, unclip the front panel retaining clips and remove the front panel. Unclip the ribbon cable from the main circuit board and push it through the hole to allow the front panel to be completely removed. Now looking at the front panel circuit board just below where the ribbon cable is attached you will see a small component with three legs, labelled on the board as Q7. Carefully cut the bottom right leg as it connects to the board and then replace the front panel. Job done! I have a photo of where to cut if this is of any use to other members. Sorry but I have no idea how to post to the gmail site but I don't minding sending something to a moderator if required. Hope this helps. Last edited by Bubba.fatass; 12-06-07 at 06:22 PM.
